VANCOUVER, BC, October 31st, 2022 – Anodyne Chemistries (“Anodyne”) has filed a patent focused on its nanowire technology, which, when granted, will provide the company broad protection across a wide range of compositions. This will enable the company to match the best-performing enzyme with the highest-performing nanowire, making the overall system a much more extensible chemical platform.
Commenting on today’s announcement, Iain Evans, Anodyne’s CEO, said, “This is a great step forward for Anodyne. It gives the company a lot more protection over its IP. The overall system will be much more extensible, making it possible for us to get much more mileage out of the technology. With this new protection, we will be able to extend the reach of our chemical platform across carbon-negative fuels and specialty chemicals.”
About Anodyne Chemistries
Anodyne is a biochemistry company developing a platform to harness naturally occurring enzymes to create high-value fuels and chemicals.
Catalytic enzymes have been the subject of significant scientific interest over the last decade, but their reactions are slow and low yielding. Anodyne has discovered a scalable method of immobilizing enzymes to turn low-yield reactions into controlled high-yield performance. This is a globally significant development that has the potential to create carbon-negative alternatives to a variety of industrial processes.
