Leading sustainable chemicals manufacturer, Anodyne Chemistries Inc. (Anodyne) announced today that it has been awarded $2,000,000 by Natural Resources Canada (NRCan) to scale-up its innovative bioelectric process to produce valuable chemicals.
The funding Anodyne is receiving from the Canadian Federal Government is a part of a larger investment in Canadian-made carbon management technologies, unveiled today by the Honourable Tim Hodgson, Minister of Energy and Natural Resources, in Burnaby, British Columbia.
Anodyne was founded in British Columbia in 2021 and has grown to employ nearly 25 people. Its primary business is in the manufacturing of chemicals from CO2.
In an NRCan press release, the government stated that “Projects like these support Canada’s ambitions of becoming a clean energy superpower — demonstrating how energy innovation can enhance energy security and unlock the full potential of our workers, businesses and resources. We are moving quickly to advance our position as a global supplier of secure, reliable and low-carbon energy and natural resources.”
